How We Work

From the First Conversation to a Working Team

First we establish what needs to change and who will own each decision. Recruitment starts only after those points are understood.

Collaboration

  1. Discovery & proposal

After you get in touch with BlueShores, we explore together what BlueShores can help your company with. If you are looking for people, we define the roles and responsibilities. If you want to outsource IT complexity, we clarify the desired outcomes. BlueShores then prepares a proposal tailored to your organisation.

  2. Framework agreement

Once we agree on how to continue, we set up a framework agreement between your company and BlueShores. It covers overarching topics such as intellectual property rights and what you can and cannot expect from BlueShores.

  3. Hiring & Statement of Work

As your team is hired, a Statement of Work comes into effect. It details the services you are currently subscribed to and is updated whenever your team or services package is upgraded or downgraded.

  4. Ongoing communication

Communication about wishes, requests, roadmaps, releases, and status updates is tailored to what best suits the collaboration between BlueShores and your company.

This is our default process.
We can adapt it when you want more or less involvement in the selection.

Hiring

With a framework agreement in place and a green light for recruitment, BlueShores starts hiring the people needed to meet your goals.

  1. We post the vacancy on local job boards and pre-select suitable applicants.
  2. We hold a 30-minute introduction call to check that expectations are aligned and spoken English is strong enough for the role.
  3. Candidates complete a homework challenge tailored to the opening, so we can test the required expertise.
  4. In a technical interview, the candidate walks us through their submission, explaining how they work and showing both technical and communication skills.
  5. We share a shortlist with you. An optional company-fit call can then be scheduled with the preferred candidate.
  6. Once you and BlueShores agree on the candidate, we make an offer, complete the contract and security check, and the professional starts.
Time Value

Working with Time Difference

Our IT professionals work from the Philippines. During European summer time, the Philippines is six hours ahead of Amsterdam; during winter time, it is seven hours ahead. When your workday begins at 9:00, it is already 15:00 or 16:00 in the Philippines.

To optimise collaboration without forcing unfavourable working hours, we ask clients to schedule shared meetings between 9:00 and noon Amsterdam time. Outside that window, professionals can organise their hours around their preference and the needs of the engagement.

Managing your Team

Depending on your selected service, your IT professionals may work with or without a BlueShores supervisor managing their day-to-day work. Every professional always has a personal BlueShores manager who supports employee wellbeing and acts as, or works closely with, your BlueShores liaison.

Regular one-to-one meetings help us identify concerns early and address them before they become problems.

We also support our employees with a personal development plan so they can keep developing. Because that also benefits our clients, we ask clients to reserve 5% of working time for it (about half a day every two weeks). That keeps our people engaged and up to date with the latest industry standards.

Why Choose BlueShores?

Clients deal with people who know the European market, while professionals receive local support in the Philippines.

Engaged IT Experts

By treating our employees with respect and dignity, and by listening and showing appreciation for their input, we go above and beyond delivering “code monkeys”. Our professionals take pride in their way of working and the quality they deliver, not only for you as their client, but for the end users. That shows in IT professionals who proactively offer input and suggestions, instead of simply nodding yes to everything you say.

A setup written for your organisation

We are not hell-bent on a rigid collaboration template. Instead, we look at the needs of your company that brought you to us and tailor our services to those needs. We also understand that, especially for growing companies, those needs can change at any time. When your business needs change, we want to adapt our services to match.

IT Management with European Expertise

BlueShores was founded out of practical needs by industry veterans. With nearly twenty years of product management and consulting experience between the founders (most of it in the Dutch and German markets, working with hybrid or remote IT teams), we know how to turn remote working into a success.

Frequently Asked Questions

We first discuss the work, the decisions you want to keep, and the responsibilities BlueShores may take on. We write the resulting role or service scope down before recruitment starts.

Yes. BlueShores can recruit one professional for your existing team, assemble a complete development team, or operate a full IT department.

Candidates are screened for technical ability, fluent English, communication, reliability, and a strong cultural fit with your organisation.

When you engage one IT professional who joins your existing team, you can manage that professional directly while a BlueShores coordinator supports engagement, wellbeing, and HR. For a team or department, we recommend adding a Program Manager who leads the remote team day to day and acts as the bridge between the team and your business.

Yes. Start with the capacity you need today and expand into a larger team or managed department as your roadmap grows.

We can assess an idea, build the feature, and help the existing team use it. Our experience includes LLM features, vector-embedding search and matching, and AI-assisted planning, development, and testing. Before release, we agree which data the system may use and where a person must review its output.

Yes. For a SaaS startup or scale-up without a CTO, BlueShores can provide technical direction and execution. We organise engineering, quality, and operations while you determine the direction of the business and product. You work with an experienced European point of contact and agree with us which technical decisions we should make.

The first step is a brief introduction call. Timing then depends on the profile and team shape, but our process is designed to move quickly and transparently.

Our core delivery team works from the Philippines and is supported by leadership with experience in Dutch and German markets. We also work with a trusted partner in Indonesia when additional specialist capacity is appropriate.
